Requirements and general information:

The bicycle tours are not technical difficult. The routes are generally on paved side roads and cycling trails. You can also borrow trekking bikes (against a fee). Helmets and saddle bags are sold in our shop.

Note: All transfers and excursions are with your own vehicle. Planned is 1 hotel for the whole stay. Upon request we can provide the route with changes of the hotel.

We recommend the following route:

1^st Day Arrival in the Salzkammergut, Bad Ischl

Welcome Schnaps
If you do not book a cycle guide via Salzkammergut Touristik your tour guide will have an informational report in our shop in Bad Ischl with tips & tricks for the tour and he/she gets the cycle map.

2^nd Day Trip with your bus to Lake Wolfgangsee

Start with the cycle tour in St. Gilgen – along the lake Wolfgangsee till Abersee – Ferry boat to St. Wolfgang incl. cycle. Ascent to Schafberg Mountain with cog-wheel railway. Descent and proceed to Bad Ischl.

3rd Day – program without bus

Start directly in hotel. Cycle from Bad Ischl along the Traun to Bad Goisern – proceed to Obertraun and Hallstatt. Tip: Don´t miss a short walk in Hallstatt – the World Heritage Village. Back along the cycle routes to Bad Ischl.

4th Day Trip with your bus to Lake Mondsee

start your cycle tour – along the lakeshore to Unterach at Lake Attersee – proceed along the lakeshore to Seewalchen – cycle through small villages via Aurach am Hongar to Lake Traunsee.

5th Day Cycling from Bad Ischl to Lake Traunsee

the river Traun is your constant companion. You arrive in Gmunden – take the boat back to Ebensee. The way back goes by bus.

6^th Day Trip with your bus to Lake Grundlsee

via Altaussee and the woody landscape though the mountain pasture region. You pass Blaa Alpine hut and Rettenbach Alpine hut before you come to Bad Ischl

7^th Day – Departure

• 6 x 3-course dinner at the hotel (with choice of menu from 2^nd evening on)

• 1 x Cruise at Lake Traunsee – Gmunden to Ebensee incl. bike
• 1 x Ferry cruise at Lake Wolfgangsee - Abersee to St. Wolfgang incl. bike
• 1 x Mountain & valley ride with cog-wheel railway on the Schafberg Mountain
• 1 x Salzkammergut present as souvenir
