PROGRAM HIKING IN SALZKAMMERGUT:

4500 years of salt culture in the world cultural heritage – east shore hiking trail

Hiking along the sunny shore of Lake Hallstättersee or hike along the historical sole trail from Bad Goisern to Hallstatt and back. Duration approx. 4-5 hours – approx. 22 kilometers

(Shortcut: 1 x way back by train and traverse with boat)

Culture – Hallstatt: possibility to visit the world heritage museum, salt mines, chamel house, aso.

Hiking to Katrin mountain – ride by cable car

Sole trail from Bad Goisern to Bad Ischl – mountain ride by Katrin-cable car – up to 1400 meters and hiking along the nature trail. Beautiful view over Dachstein; duration approx. 5 hours

(Shortcut: drive by your own bus to Bad Ischl – only Katrin mountain program – hiking duration approx. 2 hours)

Culture – Bad Ischl: possibility to visit Imperial villa, Leharvilla, coffee break at famous pastry shop Zauner; your bus picks up the group in Bad Ischl

OPTIONAL

Goisererhütte (mountain hut) – mountain pasture hiking

Marvelous ascent from hotel to Hochmut and further to Hochalmen, hiking trail with wonderful view to Goisererhütte – a jewel in the region

Duration: approx. 4-5 hours – approx. 12 kilometers

The way of the pilgrims

Drive by your bus to Strobl – from Strobl along the lake shore, over Bürglstein to St. Wolfgang.

Duration approx. 1,5 hours – approx. 8 kilometers

OR from Strobl along the lake shore to St. Gilgen, over Falkensteinwand along the pilgrim trail to St. Wolfgang. Duration approx. 5 hours – approx. 22 kilometers – back trip by own bus

Hiking along Caribbean-blue Lake Attersee

Duration approx. 5-6 hours  approx. 15 kilometers; sea level from 500 meters (Unterach) up to 1015 meters (Eisenau Alm) Lake Schwarzensee. In the morning drive by bus to Attersee – in the afternoon drive back from Lake Schwarzensee.

In the morning horse-drawn carriage through Bad Ischl (duration approx. 30 minutes) incl. explanation to places of interest. Afterwards guided tour through Imperial villa – summer residence of Emperor Franz Josef and Empress Elisabeth.

In the morning ride with the hiking group to Lake Attersee – further to Kammer – possibility to visit Gustav Klimt center – forwards to Lake Traunsee to the ceramic city Gmunden – boat trip on Lake Traunsee “castle round trip” – way back with your bus to Ebensee – Lake Schwarzensee and back to hotel with hiking group.
